The primary goal of the Dorset Forces Charities Network (DFCNet) is to connect the Dorset Armed Forces Community (DAFC) with charities and support services. This initiative is designed to benefit serving personnel, veterans, and their families by directing them to welfare support services, promoting health and well-being, offering educational opportunities, transitional assistance, and access to DAFC community events.

We actively seek to collaborate with all local service providers, regardless of size, as well as forces-oriented charities and regimental associations interested in directing the DAFC towards their respective events and services.

If you are already involved in providing services to the DAFC and wish to broaden your outreach, join our community as a DFCNet member or register for our networking group. By doing so, you can showcase your events on our dedicated events page and link in with like-minded and complementary charities and services.

Our Audience

Statistics from Dorset County Council indicate that Dorset boasts an above-average military presence, with 89,365 veterans and dependents residing in the area alongside 6,000 active-duty personnel and an estimated 3,964 dependents. This places the total number of individuals within the AFC in Dorset at 99,329.

Over the next year, our goal is to foster connections within the AFC by guiding them towards the events and services offered by our network of DFCN members, ensuring comprehensive support and engagement.

Join us today and help us expand our network to better serve the Armed Forces Community.
